The Particulars
Terms of Application.
Stated plainly, as the Office intends to go on. The version below governs applications submitted while it is published.
1. The application and its fee
An application to AYD Private Office is a request to be considered for membership. It is not an offer of membership, and its acceptance is at the Office's sole discretion.
The application review fee is $1,500, payable upon submission. The fee purchases a defined service, performed in earnest: a close reading of the application, confidential identity and sanctions screening, and a private interview with the Office. The fee is non-refundable once that review has begun. If, for any reason, the Office does not perform the review, the fee is returned in full.
A decision is rendered within ten business days of the interview. Declined applicants are told directly; the fee is not returned upon declination, because the service it purchased — the review — has been performed.
2. Membership, if offered
Accepted applicants are invited to membership at $25,000 for the year, covering the household: the member, a partner or spouse, and one authorized aide or assistant. The complete first-year cost of an accepted application is therefore $26,500, before matters quoted separately.
Membership renews only by mutual, affirmative agreement. The Office does not auto-charge renewals.
Matters of scale — events, extended journeys, relocations, asset placements, and similar undertakings — are scoped and agreed in writing before they begin. Third-party costs are settled directly with the provider wherever practical.
3. What the Office is, and is not
AYD Private Office provides coordination, arrangement, and administration. It does not provide legal, medical, investment, brokerage, or other licensed professional services. Where a matter requires licensed judgment, the Office retains or refers independently licensed specialists, disclosed to the member, who contract with and are paid by the member directly unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Travel arrangements are made through registered travel partners and licensed operators. Private aviation is arranged through licensed air charter brokers or certificated carriers.
The Office does not hold, pool, or transmit member funds, and does not maintain member balances of any kind.
No outcome is guaranteed. The Office promises its full effort, its candor about what a matter will take, and its refusal of work it cannot perform properly.
4. Eligibility and screening
Applications are reviewed against objective criteria: the fit between the household's needs and the Office's capacity, geography, and current membership. The Office serves applicants without regard to race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
By applying, you consent to confidential identity and sanctions screening. The Office screens applicants and counterparties against applicable sanctions lists and declines matters it cannot lawfully or properly carry.
5. Confidentiality and records
The Office holds what it learns in confidence, collects the minimum it requires, and does not trade on its members' names. See the Privacy Notice for the particulars of what is collected and how it is kept.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
